Where Did Chitwan Nepal Magic Mushrooms Originate From?

Like most magic mushroom strains, we only know a little about their origins. What we do know is that they were discovered in Chitwan, Nepal. It is said that John Allen, an ethnomycologist, discovered them high in the mountains in the early 90s. Supposedly the three original samples were found outside Nepals’ “mushroom season” in a pile of rhino or elephant dung.

This strain of magic mushrooms is relatively easy to find in the wild of Nepal. They can be found in dense flushes during the autumn mushroom season there. It is said that they take on an almost alien-like appearance in the wild due to their long thick stems with small caps like a flying saucer.

What Do Chitwan Nepal Mushrooms Look Like, And What Are Their Effects?

Chitwan Nepal Mushrooms form in several dense flushes. They grow in medium to large sizes. Their mushroom stems are white and thick, ranging from 150mm to 200mm in height. On top of these stems sits a light-colored, rounded saucer-like cap ranging from 20mm to 70mm in diameter.

Heavy spore production produces dark purple prints, contrasting with their light-colored gills. This makes these mushrooms an excellent choice to study!

The Chitwan Nepal strain has above-average potency. It is in the Psilocybe Cubensis family, so it will have many of the same effects commonly found in that family. This strain is often compared to Kathmandu, Koh Samui, and Cambodian strains.
