Not only due to its unique name and mysterious origin stories but also due to its reported highly potent effects. Aside from that, these magic mushrooms are very popular with aspiring mycologists, microscopists, and researchers due to their unique features.

These unique features include their appearance. Jedi Mind Fuck mushrooms, when fresh, produce large caps and thick stems that, when damaged, produce dark blue coloration. This blue coloration indicates the strain’s high level of potency.

Due to its larger-sized caps, it makes them incredibly easy to study. As mentioned, Jedi Mind Fuck have a mysterious, almost unknown origin story, so it makes them popular with taxonomists looking to decode the mystery and their history.

Can I Grow Jedi Mind Fuck Mushrooms At Home?

This Psilocybe Cubensis strain can be grown at home, but the legality varies by location. Although most of this strain’s history is shrouded in mystery, one famous story regarding growth and care adds up. Some researchers believe this mysterious strain was found by a well-known mycologist known as “Agar Joe” or “Myco Joe” in a pile of cow dung in the wild in Georgia.

He then isolated the mushroom to gain stable spores that were as contamination-resistant as possible. This story lines up with the fact that this strain is more difficult to grow at home and lacks resilience to contamination and mushroom diseases. That said, you’ll need to be extra diligent when sanitizing your work area and tools to prevent bacteria from botching your efforts.

Even with the best efforts, contamination will likely happen now and then. Some steps can be taken to mitigate the chances of failure, the first being to use a liquid culture from a reputable vendor like SporeX vs. a traditional spore syringe. Liquid Culture Syringes have several benefits that help with this.

• Faster Colonization-

The organism is already developing and has live mycelium ready to grow from inoculation.

• Inexpensive-

This method is relatively cheap and uses common laboratory materials.

• Easy To Keep Sterile-

Contamination risks are low as long as the workspace and equipment are clean.

Unlike spores, liquid cultures contain mycelium suspended in a nutrient-rich liquid medium, which can expedite colonization and lead to a more successful yield. The next step is to use an all-in-one grow bag like the one Wunder created specifically for SporeX syringes or another reputable mushroom grow kit.

This eliminates complex processes to get the proper grain and substrate ready and hydrated and the need for equipment set up, such as a monotub. All a researcher has to do is keep a sterile workplace, inoculate the grow bag, and wait.

These grow like any other cubensis strain and run about 2-3 flushes. While the Jedi Mind Fuck will produce thick stems and large caps, it may take more time to appear, so it’s best to have more patience with this strain.

You may want to pick this strain just as its gills open up, as it has dark purple spores that can cover your crop and make it messy to handle.

These Magic Mushroom spores are used for research and religious purposes only. UNLESS you live in Cities including Ann Arbor, Michigan; Denver; Oakland, California; and Seattle, have passed measures that essentially decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms and sometimes other psychedelics derived from plants or fungi. The cities make no distinction between medical and recreational uses.
